I am happy to report that the litter of shep pup you see above is doing well.
They were born 15 days ago, and my wife and I will see them in person mid Jan 2020 when we drive down to see the breeder in Boca.
That is when we will pick our pup. We have the second girl pick of a litter of 2 girls and 7 boys.
After ruminating over various names, such as Greta and Gamila, my wife and I have decided that we will name her Geneva, because she is a G-litter.
We’ll return to Boca two weeks after that, then return hom pup in tow.
She will be arriving at our house on Feb 1, in sha’allah.
It shall be quite a big change to have a young, energetic dog in our house again. I am looking forward to it. I am counting on Geneva to put me in a more positive frame of mind, and perhaps help me to finally lose the 20+ pounds I regained after my spill while riding to the gym this past summer.
That was a very serious blow to my now more frail system, and I am still having trouble moving my left arm in normal way — no wonder, given that I am 68, was going about 10 miles an hours, and did fly over the handlebars of my bike onto to an unforgiving concrete sidewalk. Until recently, I could not even hold a plain C chord properly on my guitar.
Yet what a lucky man I am to now have a German Shep puppy to forward to in 2020!
