Books

I used to be an avid novel reader and follower of literary news until — some time in the mid to late 80s — the publishing business changed, and MFA programs turned into assembly lines for writers. After a long hiatus, I’m back to reading. Here’s what on my shelf.

The first third of the book felt like I’m reading my CV come to life. I joined Banker’s Trust in 1996, as VP in charge of their global trading systems. I will say this: if I had known then what is known today about this flagitious bank, I never would have accepted the job offer, even though it was double my previous salary.
